Description: a colour drawing on heavy plain paper, showing: a busy street view from the southern end of Redcliffe Street with shops and other businesses on the east and west side of the street; there are groups of figures, some in their own pools of light, going about their business; in the distance are more figures walking up the steps leading to the truncated spire of St Mary Redcliffe Church - the spire had been destroyed when it was struck by lightning in 1442, and wasn't rebuilt until 1872.
