: a cast aluminium sculpture, showing: an abstract representation incorporating round columns, a box or block and an organic cloud-like shape; the artist, who was born in Bristol, was one of the first sculptors to have his work cast in aluminium, and it became one of his preferred materials; Dalwood wrote of 'Blue Temple' that he was "influenced by ideas about architecture and landscape and clouds. Perhaps the actual clues to it are the Battersea Power Station and the [Doric] temple of Segesta in Sicily, but the influences are never directly incorporated in the work" (letter from the artist 12 May, 1975); this work was made in an edition of six
