: Porcelain bowl. It is a deep round bowl with steep sloping sides that taper in to a tall foot rim. It is painted with Kakiemon decoration (Japanese designs) in colours of red, blue, and green on a white ground. On the exterior of the bowl there is a blue tree branch with large red and green flowers and smaller red and green blossom. There are two birds below the tree (possibly hens), one of which is red and the other is blue. The bowl sits on a wooden Chinese carved stand. The stand is painted gold and has intricately carved pierced foliate designs.
