: Earthenware jar and cover. The jar is large and baluster shaped. It has a large round lid with an acorn shaped knop. The jar has a white ground and is painted with coloured enamels of greens, reds, oranges, pinks, yellows and blues. On the body there is a central spray of flowers including pink roses and purple and yellow pansy's amongst others. Above this are some roses and leaves. This is bordered by a pattern of green scrolls on an orange background. This design is echoed on the lid. There are green acanthus leaves painted around the base of the jar.
