: Tin-glazed earthenware mug. Inscribed in blue script under base: ' - Millison Henry - // - 1752 - ' It is baluster-shape on a everted foot; the handle is a flat oval section and the bottom is flattened and curled up. It is painted in blue on a pale bluish glaze. There are Chrysanthemums and other flowers growing from a hollow rock and a bird perched on a branch. Below the rim is a border of double-diaper trellis with scrolls and stylised floral pendants. There is a band of 3-petalled flowers/leaves down the handle.
