: Wide-shouldered form with a short wide neck and pouring lip; strap loop handle with wide central groove. Reddish-brown glaze with yellow/cream slip decoration: elaborate S-scrolls alternating with double-lozenge and hearts, tassels, slip bands around the top and bottom of the neck and above the base; the slip trails all stamped with different designs. Inscribed around neck: 'ROBARD:LUSLE:1684'; below handle: 'JAMES//HUGHESON'.
