: jug: cow-and-calf creamer

: Glazed earthenware jug. It is moulded in the form of a standing cow with curled horns, its tail is curled over on to the rump to form a handle. It has a cover in the centre of the cows body with a flower finial and there is a calf feeding from its udder. The cow stands on a flat, rectangular base with a projection for the calf and it has scalloped sides. Sponged blue/brown/green.
