: a framed colour drawing on paper, showing: the figure of Prometheus, who, having been punished by Jupiter for giving fire to mankind, is chained to a rock where his liver is eaten every day by an eagle; eventually, Hercules, the figure seen in blue behind Prometheus, kills the eagle with an arrow; this watercolour drawing is related to screenprints the artist made, called 'Beethoven Suite with Variations', which included an image for Beethoven's Prometheus Overture
