Object Name: crossbow

Description: English bullet or stone crossbow with steel bow with folding iron sight. Wooden stock or tiller with gun form butt (probably walnut), the wrist with brass repair plates; the forward end with an iron tip of decorative form. Folding front 2-pronged sight. Folding gaffle with large domed shaped knob, the whole retained into the top of the butt and held with a hooked catch. Iron trigger and trigger. Folding release mechanism, the folding rear sight missing.
