: English flintlock trade musket by Barnett, London. Long iron barrel, formed in 2 stages, octagonal to round, the breech stamped with the proof marks of the London Gunmakers Company and the number 30 (bore size). Muzzle with blade fore-sight. Secured to the stock by 5 iron barrel bands. Iron tipped ramrod (broken). Walnut full stock with butt of slim form. Iron & brass furniture consisting butt plate, trigger guard, escutcheon, sideplate and 4 ramrod pipes. The stock decorated with cloth binding and 4 bands of cowrie shells. Military style flintlock with rounded plate stamped Barnett, London. Secured to the stock by 2 sidenails.
