Description: Cap. Universal pattern plate. Wool felt. Officer's model. 1812-16. No plume. Not equipped for cap lines. 'GR' on front. (George 3rd) Silk cocade. Tape around rim. Stitched paper lining. Underneath the paper was a cloth (silk?). Chin scales. Cap cords. Gold bullion and gold and red.
