: Watercolour of stone statues from Papantla, Mexico. The image depicts four statues. Left: a woman with hair and two protruding ears with ear studs, holding arms in front of stomach, lower part rough with no features. Bottonm left: woman's head and chest, hair or haddress with no detail, Centre: head, features damaged, wearing an elaborate headdress with conical centrepiece. Right: female figure with rayed headdress and elongated ears with earstuds. Arms held under breasts. From watercolour, appears to be squatting with knees drawn uop to elbows. Note beneath 3 1/2 ft
