: Crowds at a chowk in Mandi, India
: 31 March 1920
: A crowd of people line up outside a row of shops with awnings at a chowk (road junction) in Mandi (Himachal Pradesh). They appear to be waiting for some sort of parade as the street has been totally cleared. According to Winthrop's diary he was in Mandi on that date for an Investiture with the Lieutenant Governor.
