: Small, squat owl-like figure, with wing-like arms raised behind head, triangular face and squat body, the front with drilled holes filled with chalk. Back is smooth polished wood. Face with protruding eyes, long nose and slit mouth, washed with chalk, forming a thick layer. No obvious genitalia to say whether it is male or female. Modern carving, it may have been made for sale rather than for use as an ancestor or initiation figure.
