: porcelain dish, painted in under-glaze cobalt blue with central figures after Persian painting of the school of Riza-yi `Abbasi )active about 1598-1638) with borders containing mixed Chinese, Turkish and European baroque motifs; Chinese, for the Persian or Indian market;probably about 1650.This piece resembles the typical 'kraak porselein' made for the cheaper domestic market and for export between about 1575 and 1675 but is almost unique in bearing Persian ornament.
