: Cast of panel: in centre is a centaur, kicking with his rear legs into circular shield being used by lapith to defend himself at the right of centaur whose human torso is attachking another lapith in a sort of 'vampire' grip, this other lapith apparently sinking a sword into the centaur's belloy. Under the centaur crouches another centaur. Marked in wet plaster on top edge is "N2" or "N22"; marked in paint bottom left is " ' ". Second panel from the right of the north side frieze (battle between the Centaurs and the Lapiths).
