: One pound bank note; printed on both sides in black ink. On the obverse of the note, on the left-hand side is a design depicting the Bristol High Cross. The following is written on the note: No. A7662 Bristol Tolzey Bank. No. A7662 I Promise to pay the Bearer on Demand the Sum of One Pound, Value received the [15] day of [July] 18[18] For Samuel Worrall & Andrew Pope. ONE POUND Ent.d. [J.Watson.] [And. Pope] The note is in good condition. On the reverse is a design comprising the partners initials W and R in the centre of the note, and the words "ONE POUND" and "TOLZEY BANK" within a lattice pattern along the bottom of the note. There is a bankruptcy stamp dated October 5 1819, issued by J.P. Harford at Taylors' Hall, Bristol.
