Narwhal tusk has been split into four piece, each pice naturally slightly twisted in a corkscrew fashion, and a small hollow has been made down the middle of the tusk.

Shell shank, turtleshell barb and coil of sinnet. Shell fish hook, the body of which (shell) is detached from the hook part (turtleshell). These 2 separate pieces are joined by thin twisted cord which is inserted into one or both holes in the hook (one at top, one at bottom) and then inserted into a hole at one end of the shell body. This thin cord continues and coils around a looping bundle of plaited sinnet (a dark shade).

Carved 'mace'/staff of a witch doctor. Slightly flattened shaft on to which are carved 19 'lip' like protruberances, two of which are damaged. There is also carving at either end for decoration.
Wooden painted face mask for the gelede ceremonies. Brown face, large white eyes. 3 scarification marks on cheeks and forehead, and plaited hair with an elaborate plaited ridge in the centre, the hair painted black with a blue head band. 2 x nose and 1 x mouth holes.
Crown of feathers on woven cane ring. Red, green, yellow feathers neatly trimmed on outer edge, on top of these are fixed a circle of smaller black feathers. Two long red/green feathers.
Quiver and 12 arrows assorted lengths. Quiver wood bound with leather. Arrowheads allegedly poisoned. Plaited leather loop for carrying.
