Cremation or burial, and even reburial several years after death- these are usually the choices for what is left of us after we die.
For some people however, their body parts continue to play a role in the lives of the living.
This section looks at the variety of different ways human remains have been used in the past and present and asks us how we feel about that today.
Is displaying the head of your enemy in your house different to making a musical instrument from a skull? Why do some human remains have such a power for good and others seem gruesome or disrespectful?
