The temporary Avonmouth lighthouse built in 1903 to take the place of the stone one demolished to make way for the Royal Edward Dock. It stood in front of the site of the later Amenity Block. Note the semaphore signal at the Gloucester Road railway crossing and the roof gable of the Royal Hotel.
