In eighteenth century pastiche style. Made of royal blue cotton velvet in cutaway style with tails, it is collarless and has large turnback cuffs. With seven cut steel patterned buttons on left side and seven sham buttonholes on right side. Jacket fastens with a plated metal chain and hook.Mock pockets at waist level. with three buttons. The back of the jacket is decorated with buttons. Hanging down the back is a black satin ribbon with a corded fabric bag with pleated frills and rosettes of ribbon. Maker's label attached on the inside.
