"PRESENTED TO THE BRIGADE, XMAS 1909, BY EDWARD DURRANT, A MEMBER OF THE BRIGADE AT THE CENTRAL STATION. 1880 TO 1886." Photograph depicts 2 horses pulling a steam fire engine. 7 men stand on it, one at the side, and one at the front. All are dressed in fire officer uniforms.They are named as; Engineer Prouting, Wergen, Smith, James, Durrant, Supt. Wingfield, Martin, 1st coach Pearce & 2nd coachman Pearce. It states on the back of the photo "TC2326 First steam fire engine Purchased for Bristol 1882".
