From old record card: 'Gourd 7 cm in length. Chain hangs down in loop 31 cm. Small jar-shaped gourd use as a snuff box, no stopper, found in 1975. Holes have been punched in on either sideand fibre loops attached, to these are fixed the ends of the two metal loops.'
