Description: Plastic figure (Action Man type) wrapped in cream cotton shroud. One of thousands made to commemorate the Battle of the Somme 1916, when 19,240 British soldiers died in fighting. Part of an artwork, Shrouds of the Somme, of figures laid out across grass. Shown in Exeter and on College Green, Bristol in 2016. Non-display figures made to sell, in frame with notes.
