Treating diabetes
Type 1 (insulin controlled) diabetes is classed as an 'unseen disability' under the Equality Act.
It was Mr. Robert Channon, an engineer living in Bath, who developed these insulin devices for diabetics. His pump was designed to replace daily injections. As a diabetic himself, he wanted an insulin pump that was portable and practical to use.
