The incredible work of the NHS was highlighted during the pandemic. Artwork and posters thanking the NHS became widespread, and there were public calls for staff to be given a payrise.

Clapping the NHS was a weekly event in Lockdown, on Thursdays at 8pm. Neighbours gathered on their doorsteps, banging pots and pans and shouting 'Thankyou!'. Many people found it very emotional, as well being as a bonding experience between neighbours.
