There was an increased focus on window displays in Bristol 2020-21. They were used to display rainbow paintings, to express political views, to thank the NHS, and to cheer people up.

'Window Wanderland' had been inspiring communities to create light and colour festivals in their neighbourhood since 2015. They brightened up evenings, and were a perfect Lockdown activity.

Some communities organised other window trails- Easter hunts, house history displays, and Advent windows for example. These were easier to arrange now many streets had a WhatsApp group for communicating with their neighbours.
