George Müller married twice. His first wife was Mary Groves, after she died in 1870 he married Susannah Sanger.

George Müller, a German immigrant, died in Bristol in 1898 aged 92. His work carried on but by the 1950s the large communal dwellings were replaced by smaller family units in smaller houses. By 1958 the children moved from Ashley Down and the buildings became Bristol College of Science and Technology (more recently changed to City of Bristol College, Brunel Campus).

The George Müller Museum contains archives and artefacts relating to George Müller, the homes and children in their care. It is based in a former orphanage at 45-47 Loft House, College Road, Bristol BS7 9FG. https://www.mullers.org/museum
