: Famille rose palette with enamels over the glaze in blue, three pinks, brown, yellow and traces of gilding. Design of partially unrolled scroll on which is depicted peonies, a rock and bamboo on a white ground. The reverse side of the 'scroll', visible at each end, is a diaper pattern of pink squares. Surrounding the scroll shape is a ground with tight brown scrolls and flowers. Cloud-shaped cartouches, top and bottom, contain scholars' objects.
