Description: a black and white print, with lettering, on buff-coloured paper, showing: a view of the front of the Bristol Infirmary; this print, which appears to have been used as the cover of an annual publication, shows the original 1791 front of the infirmary building on Upper Maudlin Street, Bristol; the printed inscription reads CHARITY UNIVERSAL / THE BRISTOL INFIRMARY / 1825 - 'Charity Universal' was, and still is, the official motto of the hospital, as emblazoned on its official crest; this work is also signed, top-right, with the name 'George Braikenridge Esq'
