Object Name: bowl: Monteith

Description: Deep bowl with rounded sides curving in to a wide hollow ogee foot; two scrolled handles; the moulded rim has ten round cut-outs. Painted in blue on a pale blue glaze. On the exterior of the bowl, four variations of flowering rocks with birds and insects; between the rim cut-outs, shaped lappets of flowers reversed out on a blue ground; on the foot, a flower/leaf meander with dots above a three-brick band. Inside, a flowering grass spray.
