Object Name: flask

Description: Round, flat bellied flask with short cylindrical neck with moulded round rim. Painted in orange, yellow, green, blue and brown. On one face, a stylised flower basket with feathery leaves between two upright leafy stems, three small stems below; on the other, a central roundel of leafy stems radiating from central yellow spot, surround of interlacing brown lines; on sides, a band of stylised 6-petalled flowers linked by alternate blue and orange swags from a brown line; on neck, a stylised meander between brown band-and-line and single line; blue rim. Initialled and dated below basket: 'G + C 1816'.
