: White body, slight blue tint to glaze. Circular plate with shaped edge, concave flange and simple, moulded footrim. Decorated with underglaze-blue transfer print: COOK'S FOLLY. Floral-swag border: two each of two different flower sprays alternating and linked by husk swags suspended from rings from dentate rim band. In centre, a river landscape within a scroll-and-stiff-leaf border: a tree between two large sailing ships, two small boats with figures on left; two female figures front right, two figures by right-hand ship; bushes on near bank, hills, trees and a tower building in background. Three single stilt marks under flange.
