: Britton shape I. Painted in manganese, blue and green on a white glaze. Manganese powder ground; light-brown edge. Octagonal central reserve containing coastal scene: fort with tower flying flag in centre, two sailing ships at sea on left; shore with fence in foreground. On flange, four lozenge reserves containing stylised flowers in green, alternating with four blue carnation reserves. Underrim markings: /// and figure-of-eight sprig.
