Object Name: tea cup

Description: Flared London shape with scroll-moulded rim and foot edge; the lower part of body moulded with narrow panels, moulded scroll-edged cartouche opposite handle; 3-C-scroll handle with spurs. Painted in onglaze coloured enamels and gilding (pattern number 5564): green ground with all-over gilt scrolls surrounding reserve painted with a pink rose, an orange-centred yellow flower, etc, and two butterflies (orange-spotted grey and yellow, and orange-edged and -spotted black) on buff ground; gilt surround, and detailing moulded panels, on rims and handle, gilt band and leaf meander inside rim.
