: Carved ivory tusk ('olifant'). In two pieces, joined with ivory pegs. Carved all-over with boar-hunting scenes: men and women in 16th-century costume, some on horseback. Shaped leaf edge below leaf band; diagonal lines between two leaf ribbons over the join; band of lozenges below dog's head gripping the mouthpiece in his jaws. Two loops screwed into outer bands through which passes a red hanging cord. In arc-shaped leather case lined with blue velvet.
