(silks used for Na1785, relates to pattern Na1786) Handwritten on inside front cover: BOOK USED FOR SILKS IN WORKING // MOSES STRIKING ROCK-// IN THE YEAR 1852 // EVA Small samples of the various colours have been preserved between the pages and labelled. The book was previously used as an exercise book and contains examples of 'compound subtraction, multiplication and division'. Several pages are dated '1848 Brislington'
