Description: In box frame. European Cream silk leaf with tamboured, painted and spangled decoration. Obverse painted in gouache with central cartouche of shepherd and sherherdess with bagpipes and basket near a river. Edged with gilt tambour work and spangles. On either side similar decoration of table with flowers. Border, ends and ground painted and gilded with scrolls. Carved and pierced ivory sticks and guards with silvered and spangled decoration. Paired sticks alternate pierced and gold pairs with sequinned pairs. Guards carved and gilded with urn and flowers and male figures.
