Description: 'The Lilies of Tower House': white lilies worked in white, clear and grey glass beads on maroon wool ground. Carved and pierced gilt frame. Exhibition label: Worked in wool and silk in cross stitch with glass beads. The picture was embroidered by Matilda Penrose Fry, wife of Francis Fry of Tower House, Cotham, Bristol and was bequeathed to the Art Gallery in 1979 by her great, great-grandaughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Lee
