Cream silk ground worked in green, brown, cream silks in straight stitch: girl dropping flowers on grave inscribed 'Werter' (Charlotte at the tomb of Werther, after Goethe); surrounded by trees and bushes; face, hands and hair painted. Oval concave-moulded gilt frame with gadrooning and beading.
