: Lock of brown hair mounted on the reverse of a cream calling card with handwritten inscription as well as printed inscription. Handwritten 'Hair of E. Colston Esq. Removed Sept 2. 1843'. Printed 'Rev.d Henry Rogers.' It is questionable whether this was actually Colston's hair though. Removed from a body September 2nd 1843 (when investigations into the exact whereabouts of Colston's body took place at All Saints Church and bodies were examined).
