The Bamboo Club was proudly advertised as 'Bristol's West Indian Entertainment Centre' and was sited at No. 7 St Paul's Street, Portland Square, St Paul's. Guy Reid-Bailey remembers, 'People in the St Paul's area knew each other well; word would get around that it was going to be a good night and they would all come. ' The club sadly burned down on the 18 December 1977 and never reopened.
