Two butchers stand outside James Nelson's shop at 126 Ashley Road, St Paul's, in the early 1900s. On the delivery bicycle, he is described as a Cash & Family Butcher, presumably selliing wholesale as well as through the shop to his local customers. One of the men has a steel hanging from his belt. For a butcher, one of the main tools was and is a sharp knife, and this butcher had his kife sharpener to hand when he was working.
