: teabowl & saucer

: Porcelain teabowl and saucer. The saucer is circular and shallow and the teabowl is round, tapers out to a wide rim and sits on a short foot rim. It is painted in blue with a Japanese design. On the left there is a mound with a cormorant on it, one of its wings is stretched. Below is a man fishing in a stream. To the right there large flowers, leaves and branches and there are simple linear depictions of birds in flight in the distance. The teabowl has a similar design.
