Description: European, painted and printed folding fan. Paper leaf lithographed in black and hand coloured borders, block printed with gold. Obverse painted with woman in classical dress at the toilette at a spring. Reverse has group in 18th century costume within a classical landscape. Signed C F in print. Pierced and gilded ivory sticks, carved and gilded guards (one part refaced). Sticks and guards pierced with leaf design and gilded. Mother of pearl pivot and brass hanger.
