Object Name: box

Description: Rectangular cardboard chocolate box with green velvet edging. A note inside reads approx. date 1907. The lid bears a green padded satin covering held by ornate gold-coloured metal corner clasps. In the centre is an oval profile photograph of a young lady in peasant/ traditional 'Gypsy' style dress with lace and bead headgear, large round earing and a large loose neckerchief. The photograph which is sepia bears the inscription "COPYRIGHT FOULSHAM AND BANFIELD OF LONDON 1907." A note contained suggests the photo depicts the actress Ada Reeves. The box is paper-lined. Inscribed with J.S. FRY & SON.
