Description: Chocolate box, small rectanguar with a hinge lid. White papered sides and a picture in colour on the lid showing a young child in a white dress with mauve waist sash, one hand extended towards a robin stand on the rim of a plant bowl. The picture has been varnished over. A label inside reads, "GOLD MEDAL, PARIS, 1878 J.S.FRY AND SONS, CHOCOLATE AND COCOA MANUFACTURERS. FRY'S COCOA EXTRACT RECOMMENDED, BRISTOL AND LONDON." There is a mauve lining paper. Hand written on the base is 1879, from Mrs AC Dring, 2 Windmill Road, Headington, Oxford.
