: Coconut teapot. Part of a set with lid and two cups.Coconut teapot made for the Governor. The main body of the teapot is made from a whole coconut with two small pieces of coconut forming the base and the rim. The handle is made from coconut and the spout from a bamboo-like hollow stick. The coconut appears to have been glazed, some of this has worn away. Stuck on the teapot are two seperate clusters of shells, one of the shells is broken. There is a message written around the teapot in some sort of shell or bone, it reads 'Bikenibeu to J. Smith'
