: Trousers for the Tanganyika colonial police, bootcut. They were worn with the white tunic [1997/081/015] and short mess jacket [1997/081/018]. Navy in colour, made of wool with a wide beige wool strip down each side. High waisted with a 5 button fly and metal fastener. One slit pocket at the right waist. Black leather straps at base of leg fasten under footwear. The waist and crutch are lined with cream cotton (?) fabric. Inside the waistband there are 6 white buttons for braces. Trousers in fair condition with signs of wear on the seat. The handstitching attaching the straps is working loose.
