: Kente cloth composed of twelve woven strips hand stitched together lengthwise to form a rectangular cloth with a patchwork effect. The cotton type fabric is woven in blue thread with geometric motifs, mainly in red and yellow with some white. Each end is fringed with a border of five pattern blocks more closely woven with different designs and including some green and black. Alternating stipes – one with the patterned end then alternating blocks of plain blue and grid in blue red and yellow. The other with the decorated end then with alternating blocks of plain blue and blue with a geometric pattern in red and yellow. Blue cotton warp.
